In 1961 Rambler made changes In what became known as the Classic series, a new aluminum six-cylinder engine with a 195-cubic-inch displacement. This new engine had the same basic design of over-head-valve, cast-iron design. The cylinder block was die cast with iron “sleeves” or Cylinder liners. The cylinder head was a cast iron alloy. Weight saving from the previous model was 80 pounds. Horsepower of the six was 127, there was a 200 Horsepower V-8 was a option.
